The Sarasota Film Festival is one of Florida's most respected film festivals. Founded in 1999 and held annually in April in Sarasota, a Gulf Coast city known for its arts institutions and affluent cultural scene, the festival is Academy Award-qualifying in its short film categories and attracts a sophisticated audience of film enthusiasts.
