Cinema Audio Society Student Recognition Award
Annual award from the Cinema Audio Society recognizing outstanding achievement in sound mixing by students enrolled in accredited film and media programs.
Overview
The Cinema Audio Society (CAS) Student Recognition Award honors outstanding achievement in sound mixing by students at accredited colleges and universities. The CAS is the professional organization for production and post-production sound mixers in the entertainment industry, and its student award carries meaningful weight for aspiring sound professionals.
Sound is one of the most underappreciated disciplines in filmmaking, yet it shapes the audience's experience as profoundly as the image. The CAS Student Recognition Award brings visibility to young sound professionals and connects them with the working mixers who define the craft at the highest level.
Winners are recognized at the annual CAS Awards ceremony alongside professional honorees, providing student recipients with direct exposure to the sound community's most accomplished practitioners.
